Well, whaddaya know. The rich give a lot to charity. Who knew?

Pretty much everyone except the Left, which holds as one of its sacred tenets that the only use the wealthy have for the needy is to run over them with their limousines to clear the mud chunks out of their tires, and that the only real "charity" is plugging a pipeline into the taxpayers' pockets to funnel the cash to those the Left thinks need it more.

It's quite amusing to see various charity leaders trying to crap on this news. Surely the rich aren't giving to REAL charities, are they?

Also amusing is the shock expressed in the article that the wealthy may actually be giving to charity for reasons other than the tax deductions. You can hear NYT jaws hitting the floor from here.
