Hi, Buck!

We have white knuckles and swarms of butterflies here. I can't imagine what the folks at Cornell and JPL are feeling right now.

I thought of the rovers while admiring (again) this famous photo taken by the crew of Apollo 8 (launched on December 21, 1968*!)

It's been my desktop pic all week. I'm hoping it'll bring the MERs luck.... makes me think of them and our other missions out there (Cassini, Stardust) whenever I look at it. Also, soothing in it's own way. :)

Darn cable & digital companies won't carry NASA TV! RealPlayer's already slowed down to a stop on the web.
