Seems I've seen that before, like here!.
When my sons were growing up, the one thing I stressed was that they needed to have a marketable skill regardless of whether they went to college or not. It doesn't matter if someone has a degree. If they don't have some form of marketable skill, then why should anyone hire them? Starbucks stores around the country are filled with people who have degrees but little else in the way of skills. I guess their degree qualifies them to ask, "You want a muffin with that?", while with a lesser education, the question is "Do you want to supersize that?"
It's true that a college education is about more than just getting a job. Still, why would I want to hire someone with a degree in something like "Feminist Studies". Most women already know how to gripe about men without having to get a degree in it. The biggest questions any private sector employer are likely to ask are:
1. What do you have to offer?
2. How will you help our company make money?
