Skimmed the S&T article today. Barry appears even handed by mentioning key points on both sides of the Viking data debate. Of course he devotes more time to his side. No mention of conspiracies or railing against NASA's incompetance that I noticed . He does of course promote that paragon of space missions Beagle 2. The kicker though is that he mentions the Altacama tests and that they found little organics and no microbes, but left out that they duplicated the Viking results unless they were mentioned some paragraphs later. I stopped reading after he appeared to change topics. Is anybody surprised that Barry would avoid the most damaging evidence to his point of view?
See Mars Revisited in this month's National Geograhic is probably a much more reliable source. Online site has a lot of neat links as well.
Parental Warning: you may see topless women when you visit National Geographic.
