surface temperatures

The first mini-TES surface temperature data (taken between noon and 2 on Mars) were released at today's news conference. The light-colored, fine grained soil like in Sleepy Hollow appears to be the warmest, +5 C, the darker boulders and rocks are the coldest, -15C. The main soil surface is presumably in-between.
