I got tired waiting for NASA to release even a preliminary map, so I did my own., Comments welcome...

There is a location map with sightlines built on the Themis mosaic
and a miniature version of the panorama with topo features named.

Note that distance perception is very misleading in the MER
panoramas. Those "rocks" in the foreground are quite small, and there
is confusion between medium distance objects - the crater about 250m
away looks like hills on the skyline, not dissimilar to the real
hills 3-4 km away. The horizon is around 2.5 km away and even quite
large hills at 10 km are over the horizon.
