I think parents figured out about the women in National Geographic about three generations ago. Warning appreciated, but probably not necessary. ;)
Indeed a great Mars article in National Geographic, which is still one of the best buys on the planet for great stories and pictures, even if they've tilted noticably leftward. Their article on slavery was a must-read as well.
