Their ignorance has already been noted elsewhere. Bush 1's 90 day plan called for a lunar base before going to Mars. Cost 400 billion. Now a similar sounding plan is supposed to cost 2.5 times as much despite the fact that insitu resource utilization on Mars has been added to Mars mission plans? Bush's new plan would have to be really ridiculous pork to cost 1 trillion.
