Berkeley Breathed's "Opus" comic strip made a triumphant return to the funny pages recently. Apparently, the deal he struck was for a whole half page, and lesser strips were smashed into near-illegibility in my paper to compensate. I was a bit peeved--my eyes aren't getting any better--and wrote to the editor, pointing out that maybe it wouldn't break the bank to put in one more page for the color comics. Especially considering it's my main reason for buying a Sunday paper in the first place. Hell, the comics are the ONLY reason I buy the Sunday SF paper.
