The normal press habit is to wait for something bad to happen, run twelve paragraphs on it, then tack this kind of thing to the end, if at all. If nothing really bad happens to Americans in Iraq, this news never really gets out. I didn't find any of this anywhere in the mainstream press.
January 9, Mosul: Iraqi citizens turn in weapons caches.
January 9, Ramadi: UH 60 recovery efforts continue, weapons and munitions captured.
January 9, Ramadi: Task Force "All American" uncovers cache with local help.
January 11, Ba'qubah: Iraqi citizen thwarts car bomb attack at mosque.
January 11, Ba'qubah: Task Force Ironhorse soldiers capture insurgents and find IED factory.
January 11, Mosul: 101st Airborne Division soldiers capture anti-coalition suspects.
The steady pattern now is the coalition capturing personnel and weapons all over the place, and most importantly, with the help of Iraqis.
Some news from Iraq that somehow eluded the news services
