Could SLEEPY HOLLOW be a DUST/MUD PIT?

Looked at the photos the other day, and wonder if JPL has any precautions in place to determine if the Spirit Rover won't drive headlong into a pit of soft sand/mud or Heaven Forbid.. a QUICKSAND type of ground cover that would gum up the wheels and mess up the cams/instruments.... getting it mired and stuck......
Tough to get a tow truck on Mars, HUH?
