Hmmm: cometary peanut shape may have to do with passes by the sun

Elongated circumference ends up pointed at the sun more?

Seems counter intuitive to me. Light pressure would be greater vs. a side-on orientation than on an end-on orientation. Wouldn't that tend to mediate towards a sphere shape? The dynamics must be a lot more complicated than I know.
