At the mews briefing this morning they pointed out the dark blotches in Sleepy Hollow and leading up to the Lander are the bounce marks of the air bags. They also pointed out that the bridal was cut from the air bag at about 8 metres above the surface, and it bounced some 26 times before coming to a stop without much rolling. The bridal separation was quite a bit lower than planed, but was the result of the software changes due to the different atmospheric conditions than originally expected. They were not concerned and will make adjustments for the Opportunity landing accordingly
