Did anyone really expect otherwise?
The tepid (at best) reaction is to be expected. That's what's so great about the move by Bush. Gutsy leadership move NOT designed for PURELY political motives. And unlike Reagan with the Space Station, this president seems willing to spend more political capital on the idea. Seems like GW is more enthusiastic here. But then it's not the 1st time this president has made gutsy leadership oriented decisions. I just wish he'd make more of them and pander less to groups like seniors (drugs), special business interests (steel tarrifs) and ethnic groups (hispanics on immigration).
