Can anyone explain the coding of the names of the raw pictures on the MER website. The only thing I can decipher is the L, which obviously means it's the Left frame of a stereo picture pair. The picture beside it has the same name except there's an R in place of the L. I have been able to look at a pair and by crossing my eyes and blending them together get a good 3D view of the picture. A strange thing though is that when I put the pictures on the screen in front of me I have to put the Left on the right, and the Right on the left for the stereo effect to be correct. As for what the rest of the name means it's a mystery to me.
