This report, by Dr. Jeffrey Record, is being widely quoted in the media. Unfortunately, many media outlets are calling it a report not by Dr. Record, but by "The Army War College."

The phrase, "Army War College Report" already gets over a thousand hits on Google. The same phrase, combined with the author's name, "Record," gets about 300. You figure it out.

Of course, Record is just one individual with the Strategic Studies Institute, which appears to be just a part of the Army War College.

The idea of the media, of course, is to present the false impression that this paper represents an official "Army" position.

This is, of course, not true. It is one paper among many, and to be taken on its own merits.
