Ngorongoro Crater looks a bit like Mt. Warning Crater

Near the border of New South Wales and Queensland, Australia there's this beautiful place called "Tweed River Valley" or "Mt. Warning Crater". Mt. Warning is actually the magma core of an enormous ancient volcano that eroded down to a crater leaving Mt. Warning as its center (Mt. Warning was named by Captian Cook during his explorations of Australia's coast). Compared to California, Australia is geologically very old. Mt. Warning Crater looks similiar to Ngorongoro Crater, although the size is probably different and Ngorongoro Crater does not have the central peak. There's a fantastic national park along the western rim of this crater named "Border Ranges National Park". Border Ranges National Park has incredible rain forests (lots of whip and bell birds) and a fantastic place to go camping and back packing.
