I eliminated number 1, which was "Ideal Candidate." Duh.

To say the questions are loaded is an understatement. A bit more leeway in the specific answers would have been nice. Does one really measure one's entire position on race by whether or not one supports the NAACP? One's position on civil liberties by whether or not one supports the ACLU? Or other issues by whether or not one supports one particular left or right-wing interest group? But what would you get if you strictly nail those down by saying "support alternates?"

In foreign affairs, for example, it is not inconsistent to state both that the U.S. should have a generally non-interventionist foreign policy, but should also be able to take unilateral military action if necessary.

A second shot at this with a lot of "none of the above" answers comes out so:

2. Libertarian Candidate (63%)
3. Bush, President George W. - Republican (51%)
4. Lieberman, Senator Joe, CT - Democrat (45%)
5. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (44%)
6. Edwards, Senator John, NC - Democrat (44%)
7. Gephardt, Rep. Dick, MO - Democrat (43%)
8. Dean, Gov. Howard, VT - Democrat (34%)
9. Kucinich, Rep. Dennis, OH - Democrat (34%)
10. Phillips, Howard - Constitution (33%)
11. Sharpton, Reverend Al - Democrat (32%)
12. Green Party Candidate (21%)
13. LaRouche, Lyndon H. Jr. - Democrat (18%)
14. Socialist Candidate (15%)
15. Clark, Retired General Wesley K., AR - Democrat (14%)
16. Hagelin, Dr. John - Natural Law (10%)
17. Moseley-Braun, Former Senator Carol, IL - Democrat (9%)

With the non-starters eliminated, that leaves:

2. Libertarian Candidate (63%)
3. Bush, President George W. - Republican (51%)
4. Lieberman, Senator Joe, CT - Democrat (45%)
5. Kerry, Senator John, MA - Democrat (44%)
6. Edwards, Senator John, NC - Democrat (44%)
7. Gephardt, Rep. Dick, MO - Democrat (43%)
8. Dean, Gov. Howard, VT - Democrat (34%)
9. Kucinich, Rep. Dennis, OH - Democrat (34%)
10. Phillips, Howard - Constitution (33%)
11. Sharpton, Reverend Al - Democrat (32%)
12. Clark, Retired General Wesley K., AR - Democrat
