Current Events » in reply to Clark makes his stand on Iraq perfectly clear

Don't worry. Once the anti-war coalition has had its say in picking a Presidential candidate in the Primarries, The Democrats will jump on the War bandwagon

Bush will be potrayed as "not aggressive enough" in the war on terror.

The polling suggests this is where the vast majority of the public is on the war on terror, so the Democrats will follow the polls and pretend that they, and not Bush, are the true leaders in the war on terror.

Just watch the spin materialize: It might be something like: "France offered us Bin Ladin's whereabouts, but Bush in a fit anti-France bigotry and rage, ignored their superior intel..."

And then we could hear: "John Kerry is a brilliant military strategist who truely understands when military force is most effective. As President he might personally lead an elite seal team into battle, as he has prooved himself worthy of the title 'warrior in chief'..."

ok maybe that's a little to far fetched, but you get the drift.

What this shift to Pro War on Terror will do to the anti-war on terror folks is as yet unseen...Will they bolt the Democrats for an independent candidate when they are sold out by the nominee? Or will their hatred of Bush be enough to keep them on the Democrat reservation?

It will be fun to see.
