It's a lot like blind love.
Special prosecutor Ken Starr spent millions of dollars putting Bill Clinton on the stand to prove he was lying.......about a blowjob. I think we need a special prosecutor for George Bush......because he lied about the reason we went to war. If you think about it LOGICALLY, the threat was never there in the magnitude he warned us about. He had us all on the edge of our seats thinking we were facing grave danger to our life and limb and it was IMPERATIVE to take out this threat.
He pushed us (like a used car salesman trying to sell us a lemon), he risked good relations with our allies, he withstood millions of protestors in the streets worldwide, he broke international law over and over again and he got his WAY. "Pre-emptive war", now that's a new one.
Trust a Texan to start one. (As if WACO wasn't enough.)
To me, this should be an impeachable offense.
We know you signed up after 9/11 to "help", and part of that courage is honorable, but there is more to defending your country than following a leader with personal ambitions and doing his dirty work for him with blind love. (hiss hiss, I know I'll get in trouble for this one, but this is in response to YOUR post. I don't really mean to make this personal, but I'm using you as an example....me bad).
We may, or may not "hate" Bush (people "hated" Clinton too). It's just we totally disagree with his actions AND policies. It's the Right who are using the word "hate". It follows theiur party line. It's inflammatory. "You're either with us OR against us". It's rhetoric.
I've been around a lot longer than you Justin, and have been romanced by some pretty snappy characters. You can usually smell a rat a mile off. It's not what they SAY, it what's they DO.
And Bush is now back pedalling.
I say he needs to give us some truthful explanations otherwise, thousands of people have died in vain.
Impeach Bush! (for covering for ENRON, 9/11 and the Valerie Plame affair, starting a pre-emptive war on fudged reports, pandering to special interests, reversing the Clean Air and Water Acts, looting of our Treasury, shooting the bird to leaders worldwide, etc....ad nauseum)
