The brine underneith would eventually evaporate, and the olivine on top would sink, or the whole layer would collapse under it's own weight perhaps. There might be leakage out from under the mineral layer around the edges. Leakage might form rivulets, but dust would fill these in very quickly. But mostly it would leak and evaporate.
