I like this one from Gersh Kuntzman, Newsweek:
"The White House's latest long-term strategy for dealing with the global energy crisis is to turn the moon into a huge mining colony."
While this guy is attempting to be a smart ass, he actually is making an excellent point for pro-space environmentalists. Ultimately the day will come when all heavy polluting industry will be in space and the earth will be protected fromthe more extreme ravages of human pollution.
