Along with some torque

Not sure how much torque is at those wheels though. I believe they didn't want to climb over any rocks that were larger than the wheels about 10" but I'm not sure if that was torque, suspension or tilting concerns. I guess if it can roll over a 10'" rock it should be able go up a steep grade as long as the batteries hold up. I wonder how the roll for 10 seconds and stop will effect the rover trying climb up a grade.
