Space/Science » in reply to Gee, sure wish we had a MICROSCOPE on those rovers! ;)

Check those "raw images" from Sol 17 again please.

Take a closer look at the "clearer" microscopic-camera
raw images from the Spirit Rover; dated Sol-17.

If you look closely at the clearer microscopic images
of the Adirondack rock's surface, you can JUST make
out tiny (barely visible) segmented 'serpentine' patterns.
Probably close to half a millimeter in width, a centimeter or two
in length.

Where have we seen tiny (microscopic) segmented 'serpentine'
patterns in Martian rocks before?...
August 1996?...
That famous (infamous?) rock named AH84001?...
Coincidence?...or not?...
