What is with the Senators saying their piece and bailing out of the hearing? Are they just there to hear themselves talk?

C'mon, Tom. They won their elections, and they don't vote each other into office. What would be the point in staying to hear a repeat of:

"No WMD found, but the technology was being heavily researched, and Hussein was a very potential threat to Middle East and world peace."

Of course most only listen to "NO WMD FOUND!" (in the tall, red, italicized, bold print) and call it a done deal anyway. And please don’t hear the “... gathering threat ...” line from the prez. After all, what does anyone in the administration know about the shape of the world, compared against our mighty armchair warriors who just switched channels to the latest Survival episode?

It really is a Fox Network kinda world!
