Cowing On Zubrin From NASAwatch

"Gee, I can't think of a better way to make the people formulating space policy not want to listen to you or anyone from your organization, Bob. Keep it up."

While Cowing loves to jump on Zubrin for the same type of personal cantankerousness we've all seen him demonstrate here, he has a point. This is more the type of response I expected to Bush's plans. The thing is Bob is very passionate about space exploration not just Mars. He seems to really take it hard when he views events as set backs to space exploration. When your passionate it's hard to maintain cool responses to major setbacks. I agree with Keith however that he needs to do better. You can't expect people to work with you if you constantly antagonize them.

A lot of BS has been spouted about Zubrin's Mars fixation as if he cared about nothing else. It's a false picture presented by people hand waving away his ideas rather than doing the heavy thinking Bob, NASA, and others have done on the issues.

Mark
