Crew swapping
The next ISS crew is the 10th, not the 9th expedition crew (except for Kuipers who remains in 9). Because none of the 9th expedition crew have any long duration experience.
Why not ask Foale and Kaleri if they're not willing to stay 6 more months? Could be a start to study long term exposure to weightlessness.
