The "San Francisco Chronicle" has the distinction of being one of the worst newspapers in America. For the last two months, they've been delivering their paper by accident to my house (I'd never pay for a subscription to such a dreadful newspaper). Anyway, today they had an article about MER on Mars. The article quoted Allan H. Treiman at length about Mars. Trieman works at the Lunar and Planetary Institute in Houston. He's a very competent scientist (one of the best) and has been a harsh critic about the nonsense swirlling around the SNC (Mars) meteorite ALH84001. In the newspaper article, Treiman was also ciritical about inaccurrate media coverage of the MER spacecraft. Then at the very end of the article after Treiman's comments, there were some quotes from the illustrious Dr. Nick Hoffman! Well done, Nick! I would have preferred to see you quoted by a more respectible newspaper. However it's good to see the popular media putting you on the same pedistal with Allan H. Treiman . I believe Nick's star is definitely rising.
