Lets hope it succeeds
This is a nation perilously close to civil war among religious factions and, now deeply prone to being overrun by hardline islamic fundamentalists or balkanizing into several separate perpetually feuding states. The only thing preventing it from devolving will be our military presence there for many years to come. One hopes we can achieve a successful transition of governance to the Iraqis by June as planned. I am glad we were smart enough to reengage the U.N. in helping that happen.
