Federal budget restriction amendment
An interesting concept. What do you think?
In California, some have proposed another idea, which would be to cap state spending growth by a factor based on population growth and inflation. I don't know if this would work on the Federal level.
I do know that many politicians would rather drop a rabid badger down their pants than submit to spending and taxing restrictions of any kind, but that probably just shows how badly they are needed.
And as the article says, this is a bipartisan problem now.
