What happened to the soil between sol 10 and sol 12?? (pictures)
Compare the above from Opportunity Sol 10 to the below from Opportunity Sol 12. It is obviously the same area, the dimpled sphere in the top right and the various bits in the bottom left correspond, but in the middle there are several particles missing and what looks like a hole in the fine-grained material.. it almost looks like something brushed the soil there. Any ideas?
