There's no doubt GWB took every penny he could get. And took advantage of all the medical care and whatever else that came his way. Proves nothing except what we've known.
But it just makes sense to me that if he HAD shown up in Texas and Alabama there would be 3 times as many people claiming to have seen and known him as actually did.
Everyone would have been pointing him out as the son of a Congressman, wondering why he wasn't flying, watching for privileged treatment, etc.
Folks would be coming out of the woodwork saying that yeah, they knew him, used to have a beer on Saturday nights after drill, he was a great guy, flake, or whatever.
They aren't there. And that says something. A lot. It all, really. A bit like the Sherlock Holmes clue of the silent dog.
Nope. He wasn't there. He wasn't one of the boys, he wasn't part of the unit.
Period. No matter what he took, he didn't give.
And that's sad. He comes by his sense of entitlement, his lack of accountability, his dishonesty if you will, honestly.
