Has been to innoculate Kerry from all the bullsh*t he has done since he got back from Vietnam to weaken the nation.
What the dems are demanding as quid pro quo for not lying about Bush's record is for the Republicans to not tell the truth about Kerry's.
I don't think the democrats are going to succeed in this.
