Credit Where Credit is Due Dept.: U.N. making progress on reunification of Cyprus
If Europe and the U.N. pull this off, it will be a well-earned feather in the cap of the United Nations, which does not have much of a record in the political peacekeeping area lately.
For the record, while I am not that impressed with the U.N.'s ability to keep peace in warring nations and bring freedom to tyrannies, their scorecard in areas like health, food, and other charitable actions is considerably better.
