I've been listening to the news. The enthusiastic haste of the media to dump this story is astonishing, considering the microscopic analysis of every bit of evidence that supported Bush on the subject of his Guard service.

A classic example in the blogosphere is Kevin Drum of Calpundit, who posts links to these documents, and instantly declares, "I guess we can stick a fork in this one."

Scroll down for a while on his site, and see how reluctant he was, in the face of avalanches of evidence, to "stick a fork" in the Guard "controversy."

At least unlike the mainstream media, he doesn't pretend to be objective.

So, I suppose the statements settle everything, and we can go on from here, right?

You know, the great thing about the internet is that it has a long memory.
