Huge New Development for Aerospace Professionals, Starting Now, in 2004
Military Standard Mil-Hdbk-5, which governs statistically-based material allowables for aerospace structures and mechanical fasteners, will now cease to be acceptable data by the FAA and Transport Canada. The FAA is taking over control of the program, and the new document is called AR-MMPDS. They will eventually incorporate data from ESDU 00932 to make it universal in Europe and North America.
