True Believin' tunnel vision, or "For God's Sakes, Tom!"

Finding some extreme statement and painting all liberals with that brush is unbecoming.

It's a bit like seeing a rainbow, focussing on one end, and screaming "It's red, it's red, I told you it's red, it harbors reds, and if it tolerates red it IS RED!"

As a tactic it looks foolish, and as a instrument of dialogue it doesn't seem to do anything to elucidate the issues. One is tempted to just write off the authors.

It appears that it follows in the pattern of the folks who extrapolate beyond all reason. They start their statements:

"So you're saying (insert something outrageous)." Or, "What you really mean is (another outrageous extrapolation)."

Some of the authors can't do any better. But SOME can.

The opinions expressed above are those of the author, and (sadly) do not necessarily reflect those of HabitableZone, it's owners, operators or participants.
