Send ISS to the moon
Look, I'd admit I don't know what I'm talking 'bout here, but it seems to me that if ywe spent so much money putting this stuff up there shouldn't you leave it up there? It would be a waste of more than money to let it burn. Could we take it apart and boost it to the moon or L1 or some such?
For that matter, could the shuttles be used as purely space vehicles? To bring payload between lunar and earth orbits? Why waste them? Aside from structure changes and usless wings am I missing something here?
