Don't understand your post again.
If you really want to see what the headlines are when Bush is going it alone, read something posted before the aggression. It was all over the place.
Now, after the "bring 'em on" speech, Bush wants the ROW to take the US off the hook, and before the election, please. He really, really, really wants the UN to give him some help, a lot of help. I think that if it were Germany or France you'd believe it was embarrassing for them.
I wonder how eager the US would have been to help, say, Germany or France if they'd invaded a country against the strong advice of the US, got in over their head, and then begged the US to bail them out.
Would we want to send Americans to help them?
Suspect not.
And the "oil-for-food" plan died, the oil money now seems to be flowing into Halliburton's coffers. I'll bet that accounting process makes "money laundering" look fascinating. Bright red dollars being paid for oil turning into little pink pennies dribbling endlessly, inexorably into the many pockets of Bush-Cheney's benefactors.
A lot of people have died to make that possible, don't you agree?
