Spirit and Opportunity Lost
February 21, 2004
I used to live on a distant planet. It was light and warm and filled with tax paying, scientifically literate citizens. At night, I looked up at the sparkly sky and dreamed I could send real time spectroscopy data from the surface of Mars, trivially convertable to spectrographs and spectrograms, back to those tax paying and scientifically literate citizens, and I felt better. I dreamed I could fly there. In America, I can make all my dreams come true. Thank you shattering my dreams NASA. Thank-you for withholding 'Spirit' and equal 'Opportunity' for equal access to real time spectroscopy for US citizens, NASA.
Thank you for dumbing down America, NASA.
