2300 km

Imagine driving across Europe, or from Canada to Texas with what is essentially a radio-controlled cart.

Something would wear out in that journey, or it would fall into an obstacle and overturn, or get bogged.

of course, there are no rivers to cross nor vegetation to plough through on Mars, and no snow ice or rain, but still, it's quite a journey.

How long would it take? Let's assume that the rovers can acheive 100m per day (that's more than twice the record so far).

2300 km in steps of 100m is 23000 days. That's 64.85 years.

Reductio ad absurdum...
