Occasionally, a thought will enter one's brain without warning and the one I got tonight, completely out of the blue, was "whatever happened to the book that Kitty Kelley threatened to write about the evil Bush dynasty years ago?"

So I googled Kitty Kelley and on about page four I found this correspondence on a place called habitablezone. In other words, thanks for the news about the September unveiling, and I'm glad she won't be the only, lonely voice this time.

When she went after the Reagans, she was pretty much alone and was attacked for being trashy and inaccurate and so on but she was the only person doing any original reporting. By the way, her trashy biography of Nancy Reagan is pretty much a must-read. It's the only history of the Reagan Era that even remotely makes sense in its surrealistic mixture of gossip, cluelessness, greed and just plain nastiness. Sort of like what we're going through all over again.

All the best
