Being cautious
Unfortunately, with the media's propensity to overstate what mission scientists say, they have to be cautious before going public with their speculations, findings and conclusions. I suspect that there is a significant debate among mission scientists about how best to understand and talk about the data. Hopefully, today's press conference will shed some light on their discoveries to date.
