Beginning to seem like Watergate. Partly a rant, doesn't really belong on Flame.

There's a pattern here by GWB & Co. which reminds me of Watergate. The revelations and developments just kept coming and coming and coming. These are the actions of one or all of them.

No WMDs. Lying about them.
No nuke capability. Lying about it.
No uranium seeking. Lying about it, using easily detected forged documents.
No aluminum tubes. Lying about them.
No mobile labs. Lying about them.
No tie to 9-11. Lying about that.
Bugging the UN, in an effort to sabotage the peace efforts.
Bugging the UN inspectors, lending credence to Saddams claim they were spies. May have been only de facto spies, but bugging them made them spies.
Huge contracts going to Halliburton without any competition and limited oversight.
Halliburton being charged by a super-friendly Defence Department with fraud and stealing.
Not allowing the media access to ceremonies for deceased troops, or access to their families.
Working to defeat the commission charged with finding out about 9-11.
Refusing to testify to the commission, and/or refusing to testify to the commission under oath.
Refusing the commission needed documents.

There seems to be a real pattern here. With no end in sight. I wonder if it will just keep stacking up until the election, and if John Q. Public will continue to be wondering just what has happened to the country?

We'll see. GWB & Co. continue to trumpet how they care about the Iraqis, as do we all. And some of us care about Americans a lot.

Twice as many Americans as there are Iraqis are without health insurance, and therefore preventative medical care. Approximately 50 million Americans without preventative health care, and 23 or so million Iraqis.

That is, there are two American babies without access to preventative care for every Iraqi baby, two American teenagers who can't see a dentist for every Iraqi teenager, two American adults who cannot get a colonoscopy for every Iraqi who can't get a colonoscopy. And early detection is the best way to cure this deadly disease. That means that two Americans are going to die for every Iraqi who has colon cancer.

What happened to our priorities? Why is it so important to attack a Third-World country halfway around the world who was known to be NO threat to the US, and ignore the thousands and thousands and thousands of Americans who die because of no preventative health care?
