FYI The attack on the village in which Kin Phuc lived was by South Vietnamese Forces, against the strong advice of American Commanders.
I doubt you can cite a credible source for your assertion that American commanders strongly advised against attacking the Kim Phuc's village. That's ok, I realize facts aren't
your ilk's concern. I also realize it's asking too much for you to care enough about one of America's victim's to spell her name corrrectly.
We did not sneak in the back door, pretend to be tourists and students, hijack four civilian aircraft full of innocent civilians and deliberately fly them into buildings filled with more civilians.
Nope. We sabotaged an agreement to hold national elections, installed a dictator who tortured and killed tens of thousands of people, and when the people rebelled, we escalated the violence and turned it into a war in which over a million people died, including women and children.
The couple of thousand people killed by Bin Laden, et al on 9-11 is dwarfed by the evil America committed in Vietnam.
I knew someone would pop-off about something and thought I was prepared, but equating what happened in a War Zone (debate the Viet war somewhere else.) to the events of September 11 2001 demands at least a minimal response. Doing so denigrates those who were lost, especially those brave men and women who went into a burning building to save lives.
Who d'ya think created that warzone, moron? The denigration of those who died on 9-11 begins with the pretense that America did nothing to deserve being attacked. You little monkeys who neither see, hear nor speak of American evil like to think (to the extent you're capable of thought) 9-11 had nothing to do with American foreign policy because it allows you to blather on about "never forgetting" as though millions of people weren't similarly victimized by America.
"The point is that as soon as fear, hatred, jealousy and power worship are involved, the sense of reality becomes unhinged. And, as I have pointed out already, the sense of right and wrong becomes unhinged also. There is no crime, absolutely none, that cannot be condoned when "our" side commits it. Even if one does not deny that the crime has happened, even if one knows that it is exactly the same crime as one has condemned in some other case, even if one admits in an intellectual sense that it is unjustified -- still one cannot feel that it is wrong. Loyalty is involved, and so pity ceases to function." -- George Orwell, Notes on Nationalism
I realize the quote, like most of reality, is lost on you monkeys. Feel free to return to your mindless chattering.
