re: "Macaroni Soup":.... the picture (finally)
I noticed those too, back when this picture was first published, but I feared I was seeing what I wanted to see.
The skeptic in me says that these are not micro fossils, but the optimist in me hopes that they are.
In the meantime, I’ll keep an open mind but try not to jump to conclusions. These could be a number of things besides fossils.
As for the chance Opportunity stumbled on fossils the first try, just remember why Opportunity is where it is. Scientist picket this site because it showed evidence that there might be water there. This wasn’t just a random site.
