A good analysis, although still with a grudging view tossed in about upper-income tax cuts:
Likewise, even if tax cuts that primarily benefit the affluent don't turn out to be appreciably less effective at stimulating the economy than tax cuts that primarily benefit the working poor, they're certainly more noxious as a moral proposition.
For a lot of people, I suspect that bone-deep hostility against the wealthy probably has much more to do with their views on taxes than any real economic analysis.
It doesn't matter if the tax cuts work, it's morally "noxious." Not much more to discuss, I suppose. Everybody's entitled to an opinion.
