I think simply Powell, who I know, like and admire, has been never permitted to be fully a secretary of state in the way that I envision the secretary of state," he said, describing how he believes that Mr. Powell has been regularly undercut by the administration's more hawkish members, led by Vice President Dick Cheney. "I think Powell — I'm not sure they didn't lock the keys to the airplane up sometimes."
Kerry such an idiot. I wonder what Powell is going to say about Kerry's insulting comments?
Is he going to remain diplomatic [drop a few hints &/or smile]- or did Kerry simply go too far [requiring a firm clear statement].
Note: It's interesting the way the NYT put "Vice President Dick Cheney" next to Kerry's statement "I think Powell — I'm not sure they didn't lock the keys to the airplane up sometimes."
To a careless/speed readers, they might think Dick Cheney had said this.
