Why 50 Americans when it's supposed to be an Iraqi trial? Are they saying that Iraqis can't be trusted to prosecute? When they were the ones to suffer?
Or are that many Americans required in order to sanitize the evidence and create the groundrules which will somehow allow for a trial of Saddam and leave out accomplices such as:
Donald Rumsfeld, AND Dick Cheney AND GHW Bush AND Colin Powell AND Ronald Reagan.
As it's well established that these people supplied Saddam with WMD and helped him use them, under most laws they are as guilty as the perpetrator. (The person who plans the bank robbery and supplies the gun is considered a conspirator and accomplice in civilized countries.)
It will be interesting to see how they try that. Anyone still believe it's an Iraqi trial?
