No doubt this is fringe stuff but still SOMEONE has to point out potential biological causes for unusual features. The NASA Rover team has to avoid the "F" word (fossils) no matter what. The test for NASA and any real scientist for discovering a fossil is it must not only look like it was a living organism, there must also be no other possible natural explanation for its origin. Clearly there are natural formation explanations for what we are seeing at Meridiani. But keep in mind there WAS a habitable environment here according to NASA. Looking for evidence of biological activity is not necessarily nonsense, even if the speculation presented on that web site is.
